Teach Quality

The Schoolwide Network was created in response to the lack of quality video (and print) resources available on the Internet today. With all of the rich media now available via the Internet and mobile technologies, it is easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information being pushed toward us and our children every day.

Schoolwide believes, however, that it is quality—not quantity—that defines any successful educational practice or professional development enterprise. Since our inception, quality has always been at the core of our educational efforts, from the very first Student-Run Bookstore that got us started to the thousands of Fundamentals Units of Study we have sold to school districts across the country.

Schoolwide also believes that with so much information just a keystroke away, never before has the need for practical and useful professional development resources been more paramount. To this end, our primary objective is to provide educators with the tools and resources to help them be better teachers for their students—not only with the quality content we provide but also in the way we present, organize, and provide educators access to this information.

As we take on the next phase in our evolution video—production—we have applied the same educational standards that have made us who we are today. To that end, our board of lifelong educators filters our content from submission to publication. And, unlike other educational sites, all of our staff educators possess advanced degrees from today's most prestigious universities, ensuring that our content meets not only practiced but highly potent standards of discovery. By allowing today's best and brightest educators to scrutinize each piece of content we publish, we have developed the means and the methods for enriching the lives of both teachers and students who trust us to give them something of real value.

Our hope for the Schoolwide Network is to create an online environment where quality reigns and mediocrity hides, giving both the adults and children who use our site a clear, well-lit path toward academic achievement. So whether you want to help your ESL students catch up or make sure your elementary staff is applying practiced methods for improving reading and writing skills, the Schoolwide Network is the perfect place for you.

As a group of educators we understand both the academic and political pressures surrounding the education process and we believe that results-based guidance is essential to providing something useful to the world. So while other video education sites provide a portal, the Schoolwide Network seeks to cultivate a well-built passageway from point of entry to end result, giving our audience the foundations they need to achieve practical and more sustainable goals.
